About Us

Kathryn Newton

Mrs. Newton worked at Gemini as the Achiever's team science teacher for the past 9 years.  Identifying a need for her students she obtained a grant for a set of iPads for her classroom. Mrs. Newton researched and experimented to identify out the best way to utilize them effectively in her classroom.  As a teacher, she always wanted more time and someone to work with her to figure out how to best use technology in the classroom, so she is very excited be “that” person for teachers now.
Mrs. Newton has a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Management and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Mrs. Newton will assist staff at Gemini, Nelson and Washington schools with integrating meaningful technology into their classroom curriculum. She can be reached digitally at knewton@emsd63.org.
